According to Forbes, Cristiano Ronaldo is now the highest-paid athlete in the world after signing a lucrative deal with Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese superstar is set to earn a whopping $136 million from the deal, which puts him at the top of the list of the highest-paid athletes in the world for the first time since 2017 and the third time overall.

Lionel Messi, Ronaldo’s long-time rival, is second on the list, earning an incredible $130 million in earnings from his contract with PSG. Kylian Mbappe, Messi’s PSG teammate, is close behind in third place, with earnings of $120 million. NBA star LeBron James, who plays for the LA Lakers, is fourth on the list, earning $119.5 million annually. Boxer Canelo Alvarez rounds out the top five, with earnings of $110 million.
