The sale of Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk to Chelsea has been the most talked-about story of the January transfer season so far.

The Blues stole the Ukrainian superstar at the final minute from Arsenal and swiftly paid the club’s second-highest transfer fee in history, £89 million, to win his contract.

Apart from his spectacular move to the Premier League, he is also well-known for the numerous tattoos he has written on his body. But where are they, and what do they represent? GOAL is conducting an investigation.

Mudryk has a neck tattoo. Let’s start with Mudryk’s neck tattoo. He has the words “Only Jesus” written on the left side of his neck, as well as an infinity sign above the texts.

His chest tattoos are the most prominent on his body.

He has a tattoo of a heart just above his real heart on his left side, with a football beside it to reflect his passion for football.

A ‘cross’ is written just above his left thumb, and the letters F and E are etched on the sides of his right and left hands. On his right finger, the words ‘Thank you God…’ are written.

The phrase ‘Again’ is scrawled six times on the youngster’s right side, most likely to urge himself to keep progressing.

How many tattoos does Mykhailo Mudryk have?

The Ukrainian international is said to have seven tattoos at the time of writing, but don’t be surprised if this number climbs after his debut in English football.
