In the season finale of TLC’s My Big Fat Fabulous Life, things take an awkward turn as Glenn Thore reveals which of his children he has chosen to accompany him on a bucket list trip to Switzerland. In an exclusive sneak peek provided by PopCulture.com, Glenn informs his daughter Whitney Way Thore that it will be his long-lost daughter Angie, with whom he recently reconnected, who will join him on the Bobst printing and manufacturing factory tour.

Whitney is already dealing with challenges as she falls ill, fearing that it might ruin her vacation. Thus, Angie hesitates to break the news to her half-sister during their snowy excursion. Disappointed by Angie’s reluctance, Glenn decides to address Whitney directly. He announces, “Well, Whitney, I’ve made a decision on who goes to Bobst with me. Angie’s going.”

Whitney’s response does not sound enthusiastic as she quickly congratulates her father, saying, “Happy for you.” Angie speculates that Whitney might secretly be upset but is putting on a facade. Whitney corrects her, saying, “I’m not. I don’t care.” It is unclear whether Whitney’s illness is clouding her true feelings about Angie being chosen for the Bobst trip, but she is determined to leave promptly, stating, “Take Angie. Whatever. My head is killing me.” She then asks for assistance in returning to a more comfortable location, saying, “What can we do to get me down? I gotta go.” Whitney trudges through the snow, distancing herself from the family, while Angie assures her that she will make sure everyone reaches the train safely. Glenn tells Whitney that he will see her back at the hotel, acknowledging in a later confessional interview that he knows his daughter is upset.

“I know Whitney says she’s not mad about not being chosen for the Bobst factory visit, but she left in a hurry,” he reflects. “Sometimes, she isolates herself when things don’t go her way. I know she doesn’t approve of my decision, but I’ve made up my mind.”
