Chantel Everett, star of 90 Day: The Single Life, recently opened up about the significant impact her ex-husband Pedro Jimeno had on her life. The 32-year-old native of Atlanta initially met Pedro, who hails from the Dominican Republic, while they were both attempting to learn each other’s languages. Smitten by Pedro, Chantel brought him to the United States on a K-1 visa with the intention of marrying him. Unfortunately, Chantel soon discovered that Pedro had ulterior motives, despite her family’s early suspicions about him. The couple divorced in May 2022, and although it has been almost two years since their split, Chantel still carries resentment towards her former husband.

In a preview for the upcoming episode of 90 Day: The Single Life, Season 4, Chantel shares with her new love interest, Giannis, how Pedro left her emotionally shattered when they ended their relationship. Chantel questions Giannis about his relationship expectations, to which he responds, “Well, obviously, the ideal is to find someone you can settle down with, have a family, have kids.” Chantel expresses her desire to have children as well but adds, “I do have resentment for Pedro for stealing all of the best years from me.”

Chantel is elated to hear Giannis describe her as being “close” to the person he envisions as his “right partner.” While thoughts of starting a family constantly occupy Chantel’s mind, it also brings her a great deal of anxiety. She admits, “Time is against me.” Light-heartedly, she jokes that her eggs will be considered “geriatric” by the time she turns 35, considering she is already 32 years old. Chantel shares with the cameras, “It’s refreshing to hear Giannis wanting to settle down and have kids because that’s all I want to do.”

When Giannis inquires about what went wrong between Chantel and Pedro, she explains that Pedro’s family despised her from the moment they met. Perplexed, Giannis asks, “How can they hate you? You’re so lovely.” Chantel reveals that Pedro’s family had intentions to exploit her for citizenship purposes. Giannis recognizes the gravity of the situation, stating, “That’s not good.” Chantel then surprises Giannis with a confession, saying that her “ideal guy would be an orphan.” Currently on vacation with her friends in Greece, where she met Giannis, Chantel finds solace in his company. Giannis, a soccer player who has never been married, stands in contrast to Chantel’s past experiences.

Giannis has shown a genuine interest in Chantel, unaffected by her previous marriage and divorce. The two went on a seemingly awkward date on 90 Day: The Single Life. However, Giannis has made it clear that he sees himself living in Greece and may not consider relocating. Chantel, perhaps rushing into a new relationship after her divorce, might need to take a step back and reassess her priorities. It remains to be seen if she will make the decision to move to Greece and spend her future with Giannis.
