Fans of My Big Fat Fabulous Life (MBFFL) are well aware of her string of unsuccessful romances. The MBFFL star has often come across as a desperate woman searching for love. Since her breakup with her French boyfriend, she has remained single.

In Season 11 of the show, viewers witnessed her close bond with her ex-boyfriend, Lennie Alehat. In the latest season, she tried dating several men, but none of the relationships worked out for her. Over the past few seasons, TLC’s hit reality TV show has become increasingly controversial. Some viewers have even accused the network of scripting the show. Now, a new allegation has emerged suggesting that the network paid men to date Whitney. Is there any truth to this claim?

The MBFFL series has garnered attention for Whitney’s storyline, and fans are aware that the network struggles to find interesting content to cover in her life. As a result, accusations have surfaced suggesting that the show’s storyline is fabricated. Now, it appears that Whitney’s relationships on the show may have also been fake.

A fan of My Big Fat Fabulous Life took to Reddit to share a shocking revelation about the show. The original poster (OP) disclosed that her husband used to work at a shoe store where the network was filming. According to the OP, her husband refused to appear on TV, so the network instructed him to remain quiet during filming to focus on his work.

Allegedly, the network then paid one of his coworkers to ask Whitney on a date. Additionally, TLC offered this coworker a trip to California for additional filming for the show. This revelation left MBFFL fans stunned, and many quickly believed the OP’s account. One fan expressed disappointment, saying, “It’s sad that they had to pay for her to have a date.”

Others found it embarrassing that someone had to be paid to date Whitney. However, some fans admitted that they were not surprised by the news. On the other hand, one fan raised doubts about the authenticity of the post, pointing out that the network typically closes the filming location to maintain privacy. Thus, the user found it suspicious if the story is indeed true.
