Little People, Big World stars Tori Roloff and her husband, Zach Roloff, recently discussed an upcoming surgery for their daughter, Lilah Roloff, which has left Tori feeling nervous. While initially, they expected Lilah to undergo eye surgery, it turns out that her current health issue is unrelated to her eyes.

In a March episode of LPBW, Zach and Tori revealed to TLC fans that they had conducted sleep studies for their daughter. The results showed that Lilah suffers from sleep apnea, a condition that can cause breathing difficulties during sleep. As a result, Zach mentioned that she might need to have her tonsils removed. It’s not uncommon for individuals with dwarfism, like Tori’s child, to experience sleep apnea. Will Klein, a little person from The Little Couple, also volunteers for sleep studies to better understand the condition.

During a recent episode of the Raising Heights podcast on YouTube, Zach and Tori discussed Lilah’s upcoming surgery. Tori mentioned that Lilah will need to have her tonsils and adenoids removed and expressed her apprehension about the procedure. Lilah’s sleep apnea is severe, and the surgery aims to alleviate her breathing difficulties. Tori recalled how their son, Jackson, didn’t require the same surgery, but Lilah’s condition necessitates it. She expressed her nervousness as she remembered how difficult it was for Jackson to wake up from anesthesia during his previous surgeries. Tori also mentioned that Lilah will need to stay overnight at the hospital, which adds to her anxiety as she prefers to return home quickly.

Fans of Little People, Big World shared their support and experiences in the comments section. Some empathized with Tori, understanding the distress of seeing their baby connected to wires during medical procedures. Others mentioned that tonsil removal used to be a common practice in the past, but now it is only done when necessary. They wished Lilah the best for her upcoming surgery.

The Roloff family continues to navigate the challenges that come with raising children, providing support, and sharing their experiences with their dedicated fan base.
