Deon Derrico’s Plea for Prayers
The Derrico family has faced numerous challenges over the past few years, and nearly a year ago, fans were introduced to Amani, the son of Deon’s late brother, Chris. Although Amani had been managing his health issues, a few weeks ago, Deon made a heartfelt plea for prayers when Amani was rushed in for an emergency liver transplant. Tragically, Amani’s body initially rejected the new liver, placing him back on the transplant list. Deon once again called upon fans for their prayers during this dire time.

Taking to Instagram, Deon expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of support. “Thank you to everyone who has prayed for my nephew Amani!” he began. Deon acknowledged the grueling journey Amani has endured, sharing a photo of him in the hospital.
“Having two liver transplants within two weeks, and being placed in an induced coma up until a couple of days ago,” Deon explained. Despite the severe challenges, there is a glimmer of hope. “PLEASE KEEP THE PRAYERS coming, lord knows how bad we need them. He needs your prayers!! We are all lost without GOD!!!” Deon continued, expressing optimism that Amani might be released from the hospital within the next two weeks.
