Josiah Roloff and his sister, Lilah Roloff, recently underwent surgical procedures, leaving fans of Little People, Big World concerned. Tori Roloff, their mother, revealed that the surgeries were unexpected and not previously mentioned, although she might have briefly discussed it on her Raising Heights podcast.

Lilah’s hospital visit raised worries for Tori as she had previous experience with her son, Jackson Roloff, going through surgeries. She understood the stress associated with overnight stays for the kids. Tori hoped that Lilah would recover well from her tonsillectomy.

Surgeries have been a common experience for Josiah Roloff and his siblings. Fans of LPBW were aware of Jackson’s surgery to correct his bowed legs. Tori Roloff mentioned that Josiah didn’t want his second surgery to be filmed for TLC, and she respected his wish. However, she didn’t hesitate to share photos of Lilah and Josiah in the hospital.

Tori Roloff posted a picture of Josiah in his hospital bed, fast asleep. Although he appeared comfortable, it’s hard not to feel a sense of empathy for the young boy, given his small size and vulnerability. Tori expressed her relief in the Instagram caption:

“Tonsillectomy 2/2! Hopefully, we won’t be back here for a while!! Josiah did such a great job today! Peace out tonsils.”

As of now, Tori Roloff hasn’t provided further updates on Josiah’s recovery on her Instagram profile. However, it is likely that she will share updates once he has fully recovered. The timing of both children undergoing surgeries so closely may seem coincidental, but unexpected things can happen with kids.

The decision to remove tonsils is no longer routine, as explained by the Mayo Clinic website. However, inflamed tonsils or sleep-related breathing issues can be reasons for their removal in some cases, such as with Josiah Roloff. It is unclear whether the surgery was related to sleep apnea, which some individuals with dwarfism may experience, or if it was due to an infection. Although TLC fans cannot publicly comment on stories, Tori Roloff likely received numerous direct messages expressing concern for her son.
