Lionel Messi has expressed his conditions for a potential return to Barcelona this summer, despite reports of a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal. Mess’s suspension by PSG for an unauthorised trip to Saudi Arabia has since been cut short after he made a public apology. While Barcelona is keen to bring Messi back, La Liga regulations require them to lower their wage bill and bring in €200 million from player sales before registering any new signings. Messi has stated that he will only consider a contract pre-approved by La Liga and wants a guarantee that he will be given his number ten shirt back, currently being worn by Ansu Fati. Meanwhile, Fati’s future at Barca is uncertain due to injuries and consistency issues, with Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Wolves linked with his signature. While Inter Miami has made an offer for Messi, his preference is believed to be staying in Europe, giving Barcelona an advantage if they can agree to his demands and La Liga regulations.

Lionel Messi has outlined some of the conditions he wants satisfied were he to make a sensational return to Barcelona this summer after returning to training with Paris Saint-Germain.
