Brighton coach Roberto De Zerbi has admitted that the club may lose some of its key players in the upcoming summer transfer window. Several players, including Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister, have been linked with moves to Premier League giants such as Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United.

Caicedo expressed his desire to leave Brighton in the winter window, but the club rejected bids for him. De Zerbi has conceded that some of the squad’s first-team players may depart the Amex in the upcoming window and that the club needs to make plans to improve the team and restart stronger than this season.

Caicedo’s motivation

Roberto De Zerbi was asked if Moises Caicedo has extra motivation to perform well against Arsenal given his links to the club. De Zerbi replied that Caicedo is focused solely on playing for Brighton and that he wants his players to be dedicated to the team and club. Nonetheless, he praised Caicedo’s performances, stating that he is always one of the best players on the pitch.

Brighton recently signed Joao Pedro for a club-record fee of £30 million amid interest from Newcastle, and De Zerbi sees this as a positive sign for the club’s future. He believes that Joao Pedro has the potential to be a top player for Brighton and that the signing was a good deal for the club.
