Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly eyeing Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva as a replacement for Lionel Messi, should Messi not sign a new contract with Barcelona.

Paris Saint-Germain are lining up a move for Bernando Silva, who they see as a replacement for Lionel Messi.

Le Parisien reports that Silva is PSG‘s “number one” choice to replace Messi ahead of the summer transfer window. While Barcelona is aiming to secure Messi’s signature in June, the club’s financial position means they need to offload several players before making any move for Messi. The Catalan club must reduce their salary outgoings from €600 million to €400 million before they can offer fresh deals or bring anyone to the club. PSG’s interest in Silva may be contingent on Messi’s decision, but the French club is reportedly considering Silva as a potential replacement.

Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal has reportedly offered Messi a contract, but he will weigh his options at the end of the season.
