A footballer in Saudi Arabia paid tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo after scoring a goal that could help the Portuguese star win more silverware. Ronaldo has been playing for Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr since the turn of the year, and the player who paid tribute to him is Michael, a Brazilian forward for Al Hilal.

Michael scored a late goal that pegged back Al Ittihad, the league leaders, preventing them from practically wrapping up the league title with three games left to play. Celebrating his goal, Michael performed Ronaldo’s iconic celebration by leaping in the air, spinning around, and landing with his arms outstretched.

Ronaldo will no doubt be pleased that he still has a chance of ending the season with a medal around his neck, and if Al Nassr go on to win the title, he may well remember Michael’s tribute to him. Ronaldo has been performing well for Al Nassr, scoring 13 goals and providing two assists in 14 league outings, but the team currently sits second in the league standings, three points behind Al Ittihad.
