Manchester United are trying to hijack Real Madrid’s move for Jude Bellingham, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Manchester United is attempting to thwart Real Madrid’s efforts to sign Jude Bellingham by making a €120 million bid for the Borussia Dortmund midfielder. However, Dortmund values the player at €150m, leaving United to decide whether to increase their bid or not.

Madrid favourites to sign Bellingham

Bellingham is hot property

Manchester United has reportedly made a strong move for Jude Bellingham, a player who was previously reported to have almost sealed a summer transfer to Real Madrid. Negotiations between Bellingham and Madrid were said to be at an advanced stage, with personal terms almost agreed upon, with Marca reporting that Madrid would pay €100-120m for the Dortmund midfielder. Despite Liverpool being considered as favorites earlier in the season, Madrid emerged as the top contender and made Bellingham their number one midfield target for 2023. However, according to TuttoMercatoWeb, United is now in the race to sign Bellingham, possibly due to their recent poor form, which has highlighted the need for improvements this summer. Dortmund has decided to sell their star man this summer after choosing not to lose him in 2022, the same window in which they lost Erling Haaland to Manchester City for €60m.
