Disagreeing with the mistreatment of Lionel Messi from the Ultras PSG group, Kylian Mbappé spoke out in defense of the Argentine elder.

Messi received thousands of whistles in the Parc Des Princes stands as Paris Saint-Germain beat Ajaccio 5-0. Leo came back early after an internal disciplinary case, which made the Ultras PSG association unhappy.

Under pressure from the home crowd, Messi could not show much even though PSG only encountered the relegated team. With sympathy, Mbappé told Sport.fr after the match:

“Everyone has the right to freely express their emotions, but everything needs to be objective and kept a minimum of respect. Messi does not deserve constant criticism all this time.”

Despite the broken relationship between Messi and the Ultras, Mbappé said: “As long as we wear the same PSG shirt, Messi will always be protected by the whole team against all criticism.”

Not only Mbappé, PSG also issued a statement on the “Messi issue” in front of the press: “PSG strongly opposes any personal attacks against team members. We will take legitimate protection measures if any over-the-counter behavior occurs.”

Mbappé is sad when Messi leaves

Kylian Mbappé expressed his thoughts on his team, as well as the noise in the rift relationship between Lionel Messi and Paris Saint-Germain.

Mbappé identifies the biggest enemy at PSG

Kylian Mbappé will be the last hope to shoulder the Paris Saint-Germain attack at the end of the season, when Messi and Neymar look like they will leave together.

Before the match against Troyes tonight, Mbappé gave an interview to AS newspaper. He said he felt unhappy because of recent incidents: “I want to say that both Messi and Neymar have been playing with professionalism and at the highest level.”

“I don’t want Messi to leave. Neither does Neymar. I have learned a lot from them. Like I said, PSG must have the best individuals to conquer titles.”

Mbappé also expressed his displeasure at the wave of boycotts of two teammates: “It is absurd for those who have watched Messi and Neymar play and dedicate themselves to PSG. I do not agree with that disrespect.”

Without two older men, Mbappé will shoulder the hope of PSG’s attack at Troyes tonight. Victory is required if Les Parisiens do not want the defense of the Ligue 1 title to become more complicated.
